The Well Bookstore is open for in-person shopping Tuesday thru Thursday 9am-2pm and Sunday from 8:30am-12:45pm (curbside pickup not available). All orders placed online or over the phone after noon on Thursdays will not be processed until the following Tuesday.
This is a web site of The Well Bookstore, a ministry of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection.
We respect your privacy. We do this by carefully protecting information that you provide to us. Our order processing software utilizes the latest SSL (secure-socket layer) and firewall technology so you never have to worry about unauthorized access or theft of your credit card information.
SSL is the internet standard method for encrypting data for internet sites that pass confidential user information like credit card numbers. An internet site address with SSL connection starts with https: instead of http:, and most browsers display a Lock icon when SSL is active. You can place your order without fear that your personal data could be intercepted, provided you are using an SSL compliant browser such as Mozilla/Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, or Safari.
To keep track of individual users during a session, The Well site sets an HTTP cookie on the user's machine. An HTTP cookie is a small piece of code that temporarily tracks users, and keeps track of your purchase until you complete it. This cookie disappears when you close your browser.
When you connect to our Web site, we are able to recognize the Internet (IP) address of the computer providing you with Internet access. Our use of this IP address may be to help diagnose problems with our server or otherwise administer our Web site. This IP address may also be used to gather broad demographic information. Your IP address is never associated with you as an individual and never provided to another company or organization.
We do not collect your name or e-mail address unless you create an account, place an order or send us an email. Our site collects and uses information from you in order to provide the information, products or services you request. For that reason you may be asked to provide contact information (like your e-mail address), financial information (like your account or credit card numbers), and demographic information (like your zip code). Any information collected is for internal Well Bookstore use and is not made available to any outside group or organization.
Upon request we are happy to provide site visitors with access to all information that we maintain about them. Visitors may obtain/correct correct this information by sending a request to us at the.well@cor.org
We have appropriate security measures in place in our data centers and hosting facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
We are committed to protecting children's online privacy. In order to protect children and to meet the standards of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, we do not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you think that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, please contact us so that we may take action to remove such information.
